Ministry in the pandemic

Joanne Lorenzo director of The Magdalene Project

Hello Friends:

free dating sites for women in usa See the need and meet it is what I heard a preacher say ministry was about, and I agree. These past months we have still been feeding people, bringing furniture to them, praying with people on the streets and visiting their homes. Jesus is still on the throne, and we have nothing to fear! In late June, we delivered furniture to an elderly woman whom I believe very rarely had anything new or lived a peaceful life. She had been living in a rooming house last year with all types of people with addictions and mental health issues. This precious soul who is in her sixties had been sleeping on an air mattress which was collapsing every night for the past year. She had noth- ing else in her home besides a refrigerator, stove, and television. I had met her at the rooming house; however, when she moved, I lost track of her until her caseworker called me and said she needed furniture for someone. It just so happened a friend of mine was cleaning out her house. God’s timing is per- fect.

As I looked around her apartment, I saw the hand of God. He had given her a couch, chair, bed, dresser, and two ends tables. When I didn’t know how to, He knew how to reach her with His great love. Before we departed, I had the opportunity to pray for her and tell her how much Jesus loved her and how He wanted to bless her. I left her there weeping in the presence of the King.

What a wonderful opportunity to see the need and meet it. All the Glory goes to you Jesus!
